What We Collect (or Don't)

We believe in keeping things simple and transparent. We don't store or keep email addresses. All attendee information is managed through our third-party platforms (Meetup.com and WhatsApp).

We don't currently use analytics tools to track website visitors. If we decide to add analytics in the future, we'll update this policy to let you know.

Third-Party Platforms

We use external platforms to organize events and communicate with our community. These platforms have their own privacy policies:

We use Meetup.com for event organization, RSVPs, and attendee management. When you RSVP to our events, your information is handled according to Meetup.com's Privacy Policy.

We use WhatsApp for our community chat and ongoing communication between members. Your information on WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp's Privacy Policy.

To promote our community and share knowledge more widely, we capture media at our events:

We take photos at our events for promotional purposes. These photos may be used on our website and Meetup.com event pages to showcase our community and attract new members.

Speaker Recordings

Speaker presentations are recorded and published on YouTube to reach a wider audience and share valuable knowledge beyond our local community. Speakers explicitly consent to being recorded when they agree to present.

Your Consent

By attending our events, you consent to being photographed and potentially appearing in videos (just voice if you don't give a talk). You may appear in group shots, background footage, or audience shots during speaker recordings.

Don't Want to Appear?

If you'd prefer not to be photographed or appear in videos, please let the organizers know at the event. If you'd like to request removal from photos or videos that have already been published, please contact the organizers via our WhatsApp group.

Venue Information Sharing

Sometimes we're required to share attendee lists with venues for security or access control purposes. This happens on a case-by-case basis when venues need to know who's attending for entry or building access.

When this occurs, we only share the minimum information necessary (typically names and sometimes contact information) and only with the venue hosting our event.

No Third-Party Data Sharing

We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your information stays within our community platforms (Meetup.com and WhatsApp) and is only shared with venues when absolutely necessary for event access, as described above.

We're a community-driven organization, not a commercial entity. Your privacy and trust are more important to us than any potential monetization of your data.
